Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. has just been awarded a contract from the State of Nevada Public Works Board to provide materials testing and International Building Code (IBC) special inspection services during construction of the Center for Molecular Medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno. This 64-million-dollar project will involve the construction of a 108,000-square foot facility. The two, three-story wings of the structure will house laboratories, institutes, cafeteria, auditorium, and conference rooms. Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. performed the geotechnical investigation of the site to host this project in 2007.
During construction, our duties will include testing and inspection services during mass grading, utility installation, drilled shaft installation, interior and exterior concrete flatwork placement, asphalt concrete paving, reinforced concrete construction, epoxy anchor installation, and structural steel welding and bolting. Construction completion is planned in 2010.
