The UNR Temporary Dining project is a 408-seat facility that is heated and cooled for comfort and includes serving spaces and restrooms, with modular kitchens for food preparations and walk-in refrigerators and freezers designed to aid in the production of some 20,000 meals per week. Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. provided materials and testing and special inspection services for the UNR Temporary Dining Facility project.
BEC completed soil density testing for the grading over-excavation and structural rock fill placement and for pad certification for sub-grade preparation, and building pad aggregate base density testing. BEC’s inspector performed density testing of the bedding and backfill for site utilities, aggregate base for site improvements, sampling and field testing of concrete for site improvements, compressive strength testing for concrete cylinders, density testing of the building foundations footings, building foundation footings reinforcing steel inspection and the sampling and field testing of concrete, slab-on-grade sampling and field testing of concrete, inspection of epoxy set threaded rods, concrete cylinders for laboratory compressive strength testing and one soil sample for classification of structural fill per the BEC geotechnical report.
