The William N. Pennington Engineering Building is an approximately $91.97 million project located on the UNR campus. Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. covered inspections and testing of mass grading and structural fill operations. Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. also identified and observed the replacement of unsuitable soils, tested the compaction of suitable structural fill material, and observed the slope stabilization (soil nailing) process.
We provided an inspector to observe and test demand critical welds and complete joint penetration welds. Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. also completed on-site welding and non-destructive testing operations. Along with concrete slab construction and fire-proofing, inspection of veneer clips and mortar was conducted by BEC inspectors. This was a CMAR project designed by H+K Architects and constructed by CORE Construction.
