The new school is located on a 34.84-acre parcel; about 20 of those acres are being used for the middle school, and the remaining acreage will be available for a future elementary school. The building consists of 36 standard classrooms, three music rooms, three special education rooms, three flex labs or studios, two art rooms, two language classrooms, a gymnasium, a fitness room, and a weight room. The entire school has safety, security, technology, and efficiency updates. In 2017, BEC provided research, field exploration, field and laboratory testing, and engineering analysis to develop geotechnical recommendations for design and construction of this project.
Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. provided full-time construction inspection and testing of structural fill placement, density testing of the compacted subgrade and aggregate base, PCC testing and inspection, utility backfill testing, asphalt sampling and testing, reinforcing steel inspection, structural masonry inspection, structural steel inspection and all other required 1704 special inspections.
